Partnered natural sciences and engineering research with private, public or not-for-profit partners, submitted at any time. Covers Alliance Advantage (NSERC matches recognised partner cash 2:1) and Alliance Society (societal impact, NSERC pays 100%). Four equally weighted criteria.

- Led by an NSERC-eligible Canadian university researcher; college faculty may be co-applicants. Needs at least one partner that NSERC recognises for cost sharing (cash required for Advantage only), and every partner plays an active role with in-kind support. Uses Form 100A with the NSERC CCV.

- Proposal on NSERC's template: 7, 11 or 27 pages by average annual request (11 for small requests without existing NSERC peer review and for small Society requests); Society adds a 3-page public impact value proposition and a 2-page data management plan; letters of support not accepted
