ERC Synergy Grant
Up to €10M over six years for two to four PIs tackling a question none could address alone. The 2027 call moved to February 2027 and uses a 5-page Part I, a 10-page Part II and a 4-page CV per PI, with a three-step evaluation ending in an interview of all PIs.

- Two to four PIs of any career stage, each spending at least 30% of their time on the project. The Corresponding PI must be hosted in the EU or an Associated Country; one other PI may be hosted elsewhere, including Australia. Applicants to the 2026 Advanced Grant or ERC Plus calls cannot apply.

- Abstract: 2,000 characters; Part I: 5 pages; Part II: 10 pages; CV and track record: 4 pages per PI. References, the Funding ID appendix and the Resources and Time Commitment section sit outside the limits.

Weighted 50% Excellence, 30% Impact, 20% Implementation.
