Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)
Part-funded partnership in which a UK knowledge base places a graduate Associate in a business to lead a strategic innovation project for 12 to 36 months. Rounds run several times a year, and each application needs a Knowledge Transfer Adviser's support.

- Innovate UK pays up to 67% of eligible costs for SMEs (60% on non-FEC costing) and 50% for large businesses, or 75% for SMEs in Wales through Welsh Government; a typical KTP is worth £80,000 to £100,000 a year, designed for delivery within 24 months

- Led by a UK university, college, RTO or Catapult registered with KTP, with one UK registered business that has at least two FTE and high growth potential. Public sector and most third sector organisations are not eligible. Associates are recruited openly after the award and must not be named.

- Project summary: 200 words; Public description: 30 words; Scope: 250 words; 46 questions, with narrative answers of 200 to 500 words (Commercial impacts: 500); workplan, commercial impacts table and joint commitment statement uploaded as PDFs (2026 to 2027 Round 3)
